About Dr. Werness
Dr. Chris Werness is a Chiropractic Physician, Author and Human Performance Consultant. He has been in practice over 27 years, helping patients recover from injuries, gain postural improvement and functional strength. He has worked with Professional Athletes as well as weekend warriors. Chris has served as a Treating Chiropractor for the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Team D.C., for the Atlanta Knights (IHL), and athletes from the Carolina Hurricanes, UNC-Chapel Hill, Georgia Tech, and the University of Georgia. He was also the first Chiropractor to be involved in grant research through the Department of Integrative Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Werness specializes in Postural Correction as poor posture has created an epidemic of chronic pain and dysfunction affecting 80% of all individuals on disability. Chris Authored the book: My Posture Headache and incorporates The Egoscue Method to stabilze and strengthen the spine.
Chris is a survivor of Stage Four Cancer as well a horrific car accident that left him with nine fractures in his neck and upper back. Through prayer, education and hard work, Chris has gained a "super human" recovery and believes he is on the planet to share his process with individuals looking to get their life back or accelerate their performance beyond their greatest expectations.
Dr. Werness is married to the love of his life, Jill for over 32 years. They have two sons, Kellan, an Actor living in Atlanta, and Ford, a Quarterback Coach here in the Triangle. Chris enjoys bio-enhancement research, reading, and working out. He is honored to be a diligent Father, Husband and a strong man of faith.
